Well, I’m nice about them because I’m a nice guy, I guess. I’ve been somewhat less nice since they skipped town owing me $1400, though. You’ll see some of my commentary if you look at the About page and the post for May 27, 2011. I kept the site mainly about travel, not about them; that’s what they paid me to do. Until that last bill they never treated me unfairly. We joined, and got a cruise as promised, so they didn’t shaft us on that, either. And I saw them give some refunds. However, all that is water under the bridge. Most of their local people appear still to be associated with DVI in NJ. Last time I looked their site was still up, and they seem to be in business. Eric Shuman, the owner of Serenity, has moved to California and last I heard he is running a similar operation called Worldwide Travel. I don’t have any other details, sorry. At least my info is free!

How can you people be so nice about these F’ing criminals? These people are grifters at best.. what a bunch of scam artists.. I guess I have to feel a bit stupid for buying the cow, but in truth, they did noting that they promised, locked their doors an ran away like a bunch of rats… If anyone has information as to where to find theses bums, I will pay good money for it! (Not just the phone number that they never answer… I want to know where they physically are!)

Well Rogers, I wish I could have talked to you many times. Everything we worked on had to go through Eric or DK and they loved to stall. It wasn’t the travel agents. Nothing takes long to price it was the waiting to be repriced by them. Sorry it even affected your trip. I’m doing great and I hope you and your family are too….p

Somehow I missed your comment until now. Sorry for not replying sooner. Alas, Serenity has skipped town. DVI is still there, apparently, but I have to suggest you find another travel club.

oops! You got me! And I used to live out there, too. South Sioux City, NE is due west of Sioux City, and I let the logic of where it is replace my memory of the correct name. Thanks for the good catch.

North Sioux City is in South Dakota and there is no West Sioux City, it’s South Sioux City Nebraska.

Is there a person I can talk or email that has been a member for at least 5 years to see if it works as well as it should? I travel alot on vacations all over the world, and have not heard of the company …. and talking about price is always a topic of vacationers.

We attended the presentation at Serenity Travel, they had convinced us that we could trade in our time share, which would save us $895.00 in maintenance fees a year and switch to their program at only $295.00 annually. They collected $1000 from us and are currently collecting $47.00 a month for our so call discounted vacation program $3995.00. We just received our deed to our time share back, stating we should continue to use it, which means we will need to continue to pay the annual maintenance fee. This was such a scam to take our $3995.00, we are demanding a full refund of the cash that we have put out of our pocket todate. We will be seeking legal counsil and reporting this scam to the BBB and any other entity that we should be made aware of the actions of Serenity Travel and DVI. An immediate response is requested.
